GT 520 can't even match GT 710 Graphics Card

Among weakest video card for gaming the GeForce GT 520 is also a worthy candidate. But obviously it was still choice for an average computer user who only needed HDMI port for their monitor.

One of the sign is of course the slow gpu clock and also standard memory which is not better than GT 710. Even the bandwidth is also smaller than this GT card.

That said, released in 2011, GT 520 was never aimed for enthusiast and was more ideal for casual gamers. Basically it's hard to imagine using this GT for many AA games that are hungry for GPU raw power.

Theoretically it will resemble the Radeon HD 6450, so it will be stronger than HD 5450 and GT 210. Yet any gamers who are serious into gaming must avoid all of the product above.

That said, GT 520, HD 6450 and its class are still able to play some heavy games release that time with many visual settings reduced.

For example, Far Cry 3 which should be played in 800x600 to gain decent frame rate. Surely it will look awful and pixelated, but you have no other option unless you gain better and something more powerful.

For SpellBreak games, it is still able to be played in 720p low setting with 35 fps.

In Fall Guys, with 720p low, the result is worse since the card can't reach even 20 fps.

Now test with Minecraft Dungeon with around 25 fps (720p low), now satisfying result to be honest.

In summary, obviously GT 520 runs better on games with cartoon-is graphics or games with "bad" visual.

It seems that GT 520 was not popular, and according to Techpowerup only three retails version are available from EVGA GT 520 Super clocked, to SPARKLE Calibre, and SPARKLE the King edition. All of them got slightly faster core clock than the reference.

Consider the watt consumption that is similar with GT 730, 29 watts. Given the specs on the paper, it'd be best not to get this GT 520. Moreover, with similar power or lower, some choice that are better than the gpu is GT 710 and GT 1030.
